Secrets to a perfect complexion.

I , just like everyone else, has some sort of flaw on my face, whether its dark spots, bags, dark circles, freckles, uneven skin tone, rough patches, scars, or acne, here are some important things to remember.

Makeup cannot fix your skin. No matter what, if you have severe acne, piling on foundation and pouring on powder will only make your face look like it just had an earthquake.

If you want to achieve perfect skin you must be patient.

Perfect skin starts with your perfect facial routine.
Use a formula suited for your skin. I suggest Clinique's 3- step formula because it includes your cleanser, toner, and moisturizer perfectly engineered for YOUR skin type.

There is no " one size fits all" in makeup. Be smart and find the perfect cleansers for your skin ( Dry, Oily, Normal,Combination)
At Clinique's make-up counter, you can get a personalized skin consultation and they'll determine what you need.
I also recommend trying other brands.

Cleansers
Cleanser is ESSENTIAL! Pa- leeaasee CLEAN YOUR FACE! once in the morning, and once at night. You'll see the difference ( also clean your eye make-up,it can cause eye problems and skin irritation[ not to mention premature wrinkles])

Toners

If you don't have time for all three steps i recommend cleansing and moisturizing.
toners are great because they remove cleanser residue and exfoliate skin to reveal instantly brighter, tighter, pore minimized, glowing skin. I prefer all three steps.

Moisturizer
Even with oily skin, you'll need to moisturize. After cleansing, you'll see that it striped the natural oils that protect and moisturize your skin. Now, you must moisturize to replenish the natural moisture barrier for soft, supple skin.
SPF 15 is a MUST! you may say ( " Sunscreen everyday? Heck, No) But The UVA rays penetrate your skin daily and can cause age spots, discoloration, uneven skin tone, and WRINKLES! * the UVA rays break down collagen and elastin and your skin and will cause pre-mature wrinkles, especially around the corners of your eyes*
Using a facial moisturizer with SPF will improve skin texture and protect it from aging UVA and UVB rays.
Don't get skin cancer, protect your self, and protect your skin
USE SPF

Concealer is one of the amazing 'perfect it' complexion fakers. There are so many great concealers, like those from Clinique, Benefit, Yves Saint Laurent * my fav, Lancome, Nars, Smashbox, Tarte, and more!

Foundation is good for people with oily, dry, and combination. If you have abnormaly bumpy skin, foundation might make your flaws even more prominent, so BEWARE!

Vitamin C Overdose!!

Hello Bloggers! Happy Thanksgiving!

Today Vitamin C is my topic.
I can't help overindulging myself with orange after orange. I've always preferred fruit over candy! What a great habit!

Warning: too much Vitamin C is not so good.

Slice after slice, if you're like me, you'll find it extremely hard from eating too many oranges. Oranges contain an acid called- Citric Acid. This acid actually eats away at your enamel if you don't brush your teeth before or afterward. Citric Acid is also found in many fruits, most relating to the orange : like the LEMON and LIME. You may also find it in many brightening Facial Products.

Lemons and oranges are known for their exfoliating properties ( maybe because of the citric acid that helps peel away dead skin cells and reveal a BRIGHTER surface )
These delicious and acidic fruit have amazing brightening products!

Be Careful, Too much intake of Vitamin C can cause digestional Upset. Even though vitamin C is a essential Antioxidant that helps increase skin elasticity, and helps speed up cell surface turnover, it can cause an upset stomach when is consumed in large amounts. I'd call it an overdose of Vitamin C.

If I were you, I'd eat an orange everyday to balance your vitamin C intake.

Note: Vitamin C also helps immunity! Eat up and fight sickness!
